DOT ELD Mandate: Operational changes effective March 5th 2018

Back in late December, we brought to your attention the required implementation of ELD (Electronic Log Books) and the impact, compliance would have on our operations. Since that date, we have been restructuring our operations to meet the requirements of the new regulations. We truly appreciate your patience throughout the learning process and as we continue to work through operational challenges.

With roughly 60 days experience since the Mandate was implemented, we have recognized the need to adjust our operational hours and lock-out times in order to maintain service delivery expectations for our International customers tendering cargo to our GSA Airlines we provide overnight delivery (LATAM) and 2nd morning delivery.

We understand the importance of your cargo arriving on-time, and your support of our lock-out requirements will insure we maintain the integrity of the services you depend on to service your customers.

Below are the changes we will implement beginning Monday March 5th:

1. ORD Receiving hours: 07:00-19:00 CST (Opening 1-Hour earlier to receive cargo)
2. Dead-Line for placing same day departure International GSA bookings: 12:00 CST
3. Lock-out for receiving same day departure International GSA shipments: 14:00 CST
4. Lock-out for receiving same day departure Dangerous goods shipments: 14:00 CST

Although we are only moving the lockout and ready times earlier by 2 hours, there are several advantages:

1. Lockout for both General Cargo and Dangerous goods will now be the same time (14:00). Previously DG’s were required to tendered two hours before Gen Cargo.
2. Earlier lock-outs will result in earlier departures.
3. Earlier departures will allow us to maintain the critical overnight services we offer to LATAM Airlines, resulting in shorter transit times for your Customers.
4. Receiving your cargo earlier in the day allows us to contact you earlier should a discrepancy be found, allowing more time (Same day) to correct the discrepancy and remove cargo from hold.
5. Opening the facility at 07:00 allows us to receive cargo from outlying cities earlier. Please be sure to let your delivery carriers know we will be open earlier.

We appreciate your cooperation, and we look forward to the improvements in service as a result of these changes. From our team to yours, thank you very much for your loyal support!!
